Core Capabilities is a division of the business which underpins the ability of our business, pillars, tribes, and squads to drive change at scale and flourish. Core Capabilities as a pillar encompasses a diverse, complex, and exciting group of teams that are collectively building a platform for all teams to thrive from. This platform is a foundation of self-service APIs, tools, services, knowledge and support, arranged as a compelling internal product

The strategy is all about enabling and empowering, accelerating capability, and reducing the friction for everyone in the business to achieve their goals, by providing a set of scalable, sustainable, secure, and easy-to-use applications and pluggable infrastructure.

What we absolutely need you to do:

  • Lead the strategic vision of Core Capabilities (Platform) and by working collaboratively, be able to distill this vision into a compelling product strategy.
  • Design a world-class product roadmap for the pillar’s future, how we execute this, and then continue to iterate and grow
  • Collaborate closely with peers across Product, Engineering and Agile Delivery to ensure the successful delivery of various projects and growth of teams
  • Manage, coach, and influence senior stakeholders to evangelise product best practices
  • Recruit, coach, and scale a team of world-class Product Managers
  • Foster a collaborative “win as one” culture across a cross-functional group of Tribes to drive creative and innovative solutions
  • Build continuous improvements into product processes and successfully share improvements with others
  • Lead and influence using metrics & insight to drive change
  • Play an active role in the Product leadership team

Ticket to play:

  • An impressive track record in leading product in technical/B2B/SaaS/PaaS environments
  • Understanding of API approaches and integrations, migration projects and a technical understanding of platform and internal products
  • Agile and Product delivery principles with a deep understanding of the full software delivery life cycle and process optimisation
  • Proven experience working closely with Engineers
  • Value and outcome-driven, with a positive, can-do attitude
  • A leader with the ability to see a problem, step in and then step out when appropriate
  • A coach who is driven by the personal development of all of those around them.
  • A strategic, highly motivated thinker with the ability to thrive in ambiguity
  • Excellent leadership skills; effective at influencing, storytelling and stakeholder management
  • Excited about change whilst ensuring pragmatism where appropriate
  • Highly collaborative with fantastic facilitation skills
  • Enthusiastic with a sense of pride in the work delivered and the quality of how it was delivered.
  • An open and honest individual who both welcomes and provides feedback in a way that is constructive and thoughtful.
  • Able to process and understand a variety of complex concepts and provide strong commercial acumen & analytical skills
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about current and emerging technology trends
